Privacy policy

Effective 2026-08-11.

This page explains what data zipradar.org collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@caslonmedia.com.

The short version

  • zipradar never asks you for personal information to read the site.
  • Microsoft Clarity runs in cookieless mode by default and collects no personal data.
  • zipradar currently shows no ads. The Google AdSense script is loaded for publisher-account verification only.
  • Google Analytics 4 and the AdSense script may set cookies. Whether that happens before you answer the banner depends on your region — see § Cookies for exactly when.
  • zipradar does not sell personal data. Ever.

What we collect

Nothing from you directly. There are no account signups, no forms, and no logins. If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply; see § Email below.

Site analytics. We collect anonymous page-view information (URL, device type, referrer, country) to understand which pages are useful. Two analytics tools run on this site:

  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate page-view and traffic-source measurement. Runs under Google Consent Mode: in the EEA, UK, California, and similar jurisdictions it stores nothing on your device until you accept the cookie banner. See how Google uses information from sites that use our services.
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymous heatmaps, scroll maps, and session recordings used to debug UX issues (rage clicks, broken layouts, slow paths). Runs in cookieless mode by default — recordings and heatmaps work without cookies. Cookies are only set after you click Accept all in the banner, and only to stitch a returning visitor across sessions. Recordings auto-mask form inputs and any element marked data-clarity-mask. See Microsoft Clarity privacy docs.

Third-party script. The Google AdSense library (adsbygoogle.js) also loads on every page. It is present so Google can verify the publisher account for this domain — see § Advertising below. It may set advertising cookies once you accept the banner. Details: How Google uses information from sites that use our services.

Cookies

A cookie banner appears on your first visit. It is shown to every visitor, wherever they are — we do not try to guess your country and quietly skip the question.

What happens before you answer depends on where you are, because Google Consent Mode is configured by region:

  • EEA, UK, Switzerland, and California — analytics and advertising storage default to denied. Nothing is stored on your device unless you click Accept all.
  • Everywhere else — they default to granted, so Google Analytics may store measurement cookies as soon as the page loads. Clicking Reject all switches them off.

Microsoft Clarity is the exception: it runs cookieless for everyone, everywhere, until you click Accept all.

Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under zipradar-consent-v1 — not in a cookie. You can change or withdraw it at any time with the button below. It clears the stored choice, reloads the page, brings the banner back, and returns you to the regional default described above.

No choice saved yet — nothing is being stored.

Note: this site does not currently act on the browser Do Not Track header. The banner above is the control that works.

Advertising

zipradar currently displays no ads. There are no ad units on any page. The AdSense script is loaded solely so Google can verify ownership of this domain against the publisher account.

If ad units are introduced later, this page will be updated with a new effective date before they go live. In that case Google and its partners may use cookies or identifiers to show ads based on prior visits, in accordance with Google's partner-site policies. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.

Affiliate links. No affiliate link is live on zipradar today. If that changes, every such link is marked rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and disclosed on the page — see the affiliate disclosure.

Data we do not cache

  • Personal records from the National Sex Offender Public Registry (NSOPW). We provide a deep-link to the federal search; we do not mirror or cache any registry contents.
  • Owner names from deed records. Deed activity is aggregated to a zip count only; individual property-owner identities are never republished.
  • Medical, financial, or biometric data. zipradar has no reason to collect these and does not.

Email

If you email hello@caslonmedia.com, we keep the message so we can reply and follow up if needed. Messages are stored with our email provider under their standard confidentiality terms and are not shared with third parties.

Your rights

Residents of the EEA, UK, California, and similar jurisdictions have the right to access, correct, delete, or port personal data we may hold about them. Because we do not maintain user accounts, the only personal data we typically hold is email correspondence you have initiated. Requests: hello@caslonmedia.com, subject line [privacy].

Children

zipradar is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided information, please email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site evolves. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page with a new effective date.
